ABOUT KOTOKOTTON

Started in 2009 by Ms. Kitai Saeko, KotoKotton is a koto ensemble based in Singapore, with weekly practices even through the university holidays. While Ms. Kitai is a Japanese language teacher at the Centre for Language Studies in NUS, she is also a qualified teacher from the Sawai Koto School (沢井箏曲院).  Joined by dedicated and passionate members both from NUS and outside of NUS, KotoKotton's dynamic repertoire comprises of both traditional and contemporary compositions. KotoKotton also regularly participates in various cultural and private events.
